New here - introduction

Hey all. I've spent quite a bit of time playing MMOs. Pretty much always went the healer route, as I will be doing here (first char is WP). I'm excited about this vibe this game and its community gives off. I am a career changer who is currently in school for computer science and was wondering if there are ways to volunteer in helping with the code base. Would love to give back for the benefit of others while gaining development experience.

I have a few ideas that I think would be amazing. There is one idea I can't really mention here that is incredibly unique and only existed with one MMO... ever, in all the history of MMOs. Another involves dungeons. In World of Warcraft there was a sub portion of the game called mythic plus where they were able to have the dungeons scale infinitely. It was so enjoyable. Still really new to the game and not even sure if dungeons are a thing.

I've been playing several hours so far and that's it. Still have a lot of knowledge gaps.
Is there an auto run/walk function?
Is there a way to ping/tag locations on the map so that an arrow will auto guide you to your pinged location?
Is there a way to not be forced to use the key bindings for various activated rows? I really dislike using ASDW etc to move, it has always been bound to my mouse. Typically, with macros, when I played WoW, the ENTIRE key board was bound to something, including ';', '/', etc... literally the entire keyboard.

Also, HI EVERYONE!

Super excited to play and get to know people!

Welcome!

To answer your questions:

1.) You can keybind both walk and auto-run/walk, yes.
2.) Pinging the map with arrows to guide - not that I know of. Some add-ons may do part of this but I'm not sure.
3.) You can re-bind most things. Escape --> Keybinds and then try adjusting to whichever you like.
