Return of Reckoning

SO I returned to the game, all my armor was off so I go to re-equip it.

My dominator helm is fine.
All my Vanquisher gear went on fine.
but now my invader chest piece wont let me equip because I need a vanquisher emblem?

am I just chestless now?

I'm guessing you've been gone quite a long time.

They changed the way wards work, so you now need to have fully completed the previous ward before you can equip anything from the next ward.

If your invader chest piece won't be equipped, it probably means your vanquisher ward hasn't been completed. Open up the Tome of Knowledge, head to the armory tab and click on the vanquisher ward. Check each fragment and make sure you have unlocked it. If you have unlocked every fragment of the vanquisher ward then it's a bug. If you haven't, you'll need to equip (if u already have it) or buy (if u dont) the missing piece.

Simply owning the right piece doesn't count, you have to have equipped it to unlock the ward, so hopefully its a simple case of equipping an old piece of gear in your bank.

Sentinel gear gives you Vanquisher ward, so go do city dungeon (Bilerot Burrows or Crypts) until you get yourself sentinel chest piece. Or if you already have Sentinel in your bank, go equip it.

As the others have posted, Wards function a bit differently now and you may need to complete a previous set (or sets) to properly unlock some gear. More info here on the Wiki: https://wiki.returnofreckoning.com/Wards
