Faction/Class popularity?

Hello everyone,
I remember playing this a long time ago, I believe I got to level 10 as a cultist back then. As the MMO genere keeps stagnating and no interesting MMOs are coming up and I'm on a bit of a Warhammer trip currently, I would like to return to this game and experience it as it's fullest.
From what I can see on the fron page, it seems that Chaos seems to be slightly favoured. Is it like that in general or does it fluctuate with regional peak times?
Also what are the least played classes or classes that are constantly lacked in party compositions? Healers, Tanks, something else?

Honestly this will split the crowd pretty evenly. I play primarily Order so I'm naturally biased towards that even if I'd prefer or try not to be.
In terms of Destruction/Order populations— you're spot on, it's really going to depend on your playtime etc. There's arguments for and against, personally I prefer the underdog which in my playtime is usually Order.
In terms of Career Balance, I do think there's an argument that every Destro class is a bit better than it's contempory 'Mirror class' on Order, with the exception of White Lion (tends to perform really, really well most of th time- though pet pathing is rubbish.)
Primarily this is due to damage types— example Chosen doing Spiritual Daamge and Witch Elves getting by with Corporeal Damage etc.
That being said, I'd ultimately find a career that you enjoy the 'class fantasy' of and trying that one out.

Destruction classes are a bit stronger outside of wl. Obviously this is how it is
Ps. Strongest tank in the game knight (undisputed). Strongest wb dps BW (debatable imho but S tier regardless)
Ds. Best pure healers wp, rp, zele and small scale add dok
Destruction players aren’t posting on this forum anymore tbh and bf order champs explode on me I hardly bother playing anymore and when I do I easymode order

The fact that Gilgam is humiliating every dest solo with an IB including immortal Chosens isn’t mentioned either
Ps. Dps Shamans are the real problem in this game

Hi there friends, I hope I've understood your statement correctly, apologies if not.
The qualifier of my sentence was "...during my playtime." This meaning that around the time I play (I'm Australian so evening/late night Oceania) it's been my experience that Order is usually rocking AAO in most RvR lakes and are getting slapped around in SCs. It's definitely not always the case, but it's often enough that I feel comfortable in my choice.
Frankly I do play Destro from time to time too, most of my experiences with Destro during my playtime have been consistently winning as well. Just my experience though, and that's all I can speak to.

Population is more or less the same in both factions, fluctuating during the day.
Regarding actual Gameplay in the RvR lakes, order has it easier than destro.
