Something i've been meaning to ask; why is witch hunter so hated? Witch hunter was a class I wanted to main but after hearing how most party kick them out, it lead me to pick warrior priest but i still never got a clear answer.

RoR is mainly based around WB's plays in RvR, in that regard you have 8 slot for dps and WH do underperform in large scale fight due to the poor AOE they bring. They have some utility but the utility on order side been almost a non factor from dps, order is better off taking more raw damage.
WH r fine in solo/duo/6 play style but that is not the main focus of the majority of the playerbase.

but WH specialize in single target which is still good for stragglers. so ppl hate wh for lacking in aoe, which they dont specialize in.... that dumb beyond belief

Witch Hunters and Witch Elves, being stealth classes, means they get to jump on you unexpectedly. They typically only choose targets they can kill (because why would you pick a target you'll lose to!?!?!?) which means most of us, at some point, have been killed by these classes with minimal chance to fight back.


So, the classes are looked down on just for that point - they "gank" you a lot and it feels unfair.


Beyond that, they are generally squishy, lack AoE, lack utility, so they aren't particularly welcome in a group setup. This is part of the reason why so many stealthers end up jumping stragglers - it's kinda their only option!


This isn't to say that WH / WE can't be useful in groups, they can. If geared and played well, they can really disrupt the enemy backline, take out key targets quickly and benefit the team.


As always, play whatever you enjoy the most! The meta shifts too often, and the grind is too real to play something you don't enjoy!

I love whs,i basically bought a full sov set for my chosen tx to them.

As a healer, my disdain for WHs outside of Rayzr, Hon, & Bestfriend stems from their unwillingness to assist in a melee train in PUG scenarios. You aren't going to kill most healers by yourself, stop overextending into the backline repeatedly and giving away free points. Its a waste of AP and mouse clicks to heal most of yall tbh
