Hi, new player

Hi just started recently playing as I was looking for a pvp focused mmo without the bollocks most of them come with and this one seems to fit the bill.

Have been trying out a few classes but just wondering if there is anywhere to view the low down of what each classes specifically does?

At a very basic level, in end game play

Tanks

• Guard their assigned DPS and sometimes help a healer or other tank by guarding them

• Punt opposing players into bad positions

• Interupt, slow, knockdown or otherwise disrupt important enemy targets

• Use Challenge and Hold the Line to protect their team

• Physical block doorways or bridges to prevent enemy movement

DPS

• Coordinate their play with the Main Assist to time attacks, aoe abilities, and morale damage to secure kills

• Manage their positioning and cooldowns to protect themselves from the enemy kill combos

• Use disruption or debuffing abilities to help secure kills

Healers

• Manage their position to avoid getting caught by the enemy melee ball

• maintain their healing over time effects on DPS and other vulnerable team members

• Observe enemy movement and debuff usage to anticipate targeted attacks and response with powerful AoE or Single target healing abilities

Each class does some version of this. How it looks depends on whether your are playing warband, scenarios, cities, small scale roam etc.

Are there specific classes you are curious about or a playstyle or role you are looking for? Do you want a mechanically difficult or easy class? Does being in high demand for groups matter for you or are you okay making your own groups or soloing if you cant find anyone?

As a general rule, multiple alts is pretty viable in this game because going from 1 to 40/60 is not terribly time consuming compared to getting 60-80 and being full bis so dont worry too much about trying stuff out.
