Does it work from desktop mode?
Something odd must be going on with the input grabbing i guess.

It' starts up and logs on fine on desktop mode. The mouse and keyboard I have respond well but no inputs work as long as the user agreement is up except for moving the cursor around, and it's the in-game cursor

what if you change in the

Code: Select all

~/RoR/user/UserSettings.xml

Code: Select all

first_run="false"
it should then not show the EULA i think

edit: another thing maybe is the resolution.. steam deck is 16:10 i think by default..maybe its messing up something. That same file can be used to change resolution also and windowed or fullscreen or windowed without border. Worth a test also i guess

The first run false addition didn't seem to have any effect. I had input the resolution change code before too but it also didn't seem to change anything

hmm.. Im running out of ideas then... super strange issue. In that same file i have

Code: Select all

eula="2101241342" roc="2018144959"
not sure what those numbers exactly are.

Are your launching through Lutris or from Steam directly added as non-steam game?

It was installed with the Linux guide step by step, then added as a non steam game. It won't launch directly through lutris, also it has to be in compatibility mode

Get Sequencer, keybind pads to shift/alt/ctrl to open up extra hotbar layers.

Only issue would be figuring out movement, like instant direction turning for the Analog Stick, but sure that could be resolved.
Moonlight stream + Sunshine (or nvidia gamestream)
Much better than steam link

Hmm. Have you tried different Compatibility tools. Like Proton-GE versions?..i think you can install them with protonup-qt thats found in discover application installer. Maybe it will work better with unofficial proton versions.

But yeah... honestly running out of ideas.. can't replicate that problem on my Desktop Arch Linux installation. Tried to launch through steam as non-steam game and the input works without issues for my setup...
