Tome Unlock Trophy for killing Players

Is this a known bug? The counter for killing Dwarfs barely goes up for me, while the counter for Empire/Elves seems to work normally. I don't have to kill NPCs for that trophy, do I?
Edit: Nevermind, I tested it on some NPCs and the counter went up. Guess I ignored them mostly so far.
