Why are people so afraid of sieging?

i only play solo, so not dozens of kills and for me bag rolls are huge.
ofc WBs killing masses don't care about bags at all, that is what you can see in the lakes.

There isn't any particular incentive to siege since the campaign change unless you don't particularly like a zone. You don't need to push forts for invader anymore, you don't need to push cities for sov anymore, so what reason is there to bother effectively locking up RvR action for 20-30 mins unless you just fancy a change of scenery?

Sure there's Genesis gear and Subj weapons from genesis crests, but you generally acquire that stuff super quickly anyway

Exactly, if there was lock system by controling BOs and keep was just part of that (look at how LOTD lock works) then it would be much more fun. Keeps funnels are so WAR thingy. RoR should go other path to keep people online.

This, though I prefer the current currency system. They need to figure out a way of making it worth pushing keeps and forts without it being tied to currency. Also, keeps are boring because it always devolves into funnel fighting. Keeps aren't dynamic. They're set piece content and there's very little you can do to change that. In ORVR you can coordinate with other WB's to flank enemy WB's. Move to another zone to spread out the zerg. In keeps, you can hold the doors. That's pretty much it. Defenders and attackers both need more ways of subverting each others efforts. Especially in situations where one side massively outnumbers the other. Keeps are meant to be hard to take and are supposed to act as a force multiplier. In this game, they don't. And at some point when you have so many people inside a keep, it's almost impossible for attackers to take it. Not only because of the insane AoE damage. But also the body blocking when so many people are trying to push through a doorway.

There have been a lot of spam bots on the forums recently posting that they are new players and asking some good questions. To be honest I love it, keeps the forums active and gets real players talking about active issues. Kind of funny how that happens.
