Hello gents
I am quite new to this game, therefore a lot is new to me, plus it takes some time to get used to new stuff.
I have lvl 31 WE, with 29 rr (took me sometime to figure out only lvling is pvp lvling) with the defensive renown set you get at 29rr.
Went for sacrificial stab ( hoping auto attack build is ok)...no vanish guess thats a mistake.
While trying get to hands on some guides a lot of them are just quite old. Therefore I would like to ask few things guess some are cliche...
Stats to focus? I do str>crit> random
Best solo sc/rvr build for new players?
Defensive we build?
Talents/tactics/stats please?
Anything I should not forget as noob WE ?
I am still trying to find my spot in SC/RVR as the WE seens like one trick ponny, go in kill soft target die terribly...
Thank you for help,
OLL

go for witchbrew it' the best dps ability for a new WE since you lack stats. it's a good carry to even higher rr. IMO def is the way to go for WE all the way to rr80 and beyond. as dps WE you have to chose targets carefully and are stuck to very squishy ones.
as def WE you need zero str but alot of toughness/armor
for rr go for parry/tough/futile strikes

As game did not have any major changes for last 2 years ten all old guide arena still quite good.
Drop Septic blade tactic.

I just want to add that what you wrote describes a solo gank spec for rvr. In SC and especially in groups with tank and heal you want to go offensive with some defensive renown build and use armor pen spec.

Disclaimer: I did not play WE since 2020.
Last I checked Septic Blade worked like this:
WH with 30% crit attack me. SB triggers. 25% from 30 is 7,5. So 30-7,5=22,5. So this WH still have 22,5% to crit me. Does this change to flat value?

good question, actually i assumed it would be flat 25% everything esle would be really underwhelming considering WH get +25% for absolution or is that also not flat?
how about other classes? there are many abilities that give you % crit chance and i am pretty sure they are also flat

On live SB was just -7,5% enemy crit chance with the numbers in your example and therefore nobody used it.
It's only worth it, if the chance it flat %.

I believe it's 25%/stack * stack * Crit%, so:
30% Crit * 25%/stack * 2 stacks = 15%
...my question, does it reduce healing crit vs healers? That may be interesting.

Where you get the "stack" from, something like this would be in the tooltip, as broken as most tooltips are.
