Return of Reckoning

hello,

i am getting the following error message when running RoRLauncher.exe

I tried everything from the install tutorial:

however i checked with the next response thread: Troubleshooting
however there is no troubleshoot for this.... the error message says:

C:\Windows\System32\d3dx9_34.dll, is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error.

I tried to install many many many times the direct x 9, tried to replace the actual file with various links online including Direct x website downloaded...

however still the same problem... i feel there is something very simple... AND YES, i downloaded the replacement of RoRLauncher url: http://launcher.returnofreckoning.com/RoRLauncher.exe

You can try to run the game using Vulkan proxy to see if that may fix your issue : viewtopic.php?t=43680&start=180

Or try using the DX12 proxy :
viewtopic.php?t=47969

In both cases, read carefully the instructions on how it works

Download the 32bit d3dx9_34.dll and extract/drop it into RoR root folder (next to WAR.exe, WAR-64.exe) and try if that works.
looks like your OS installation is a bit messed if directx9c installation fails to set it up correctly
