Return of Reckoning

hello I had played a long time ago and I want to come back in quiet mode. I love gobs and playing dps classes. my heart swings between rsh and shamy dps. I will have a few questions if you have a moment.

I guess the shaman does better solo because of his ability to heal himself is the case? the rsh will surely have an easier place for him in the groups, right? Finally, which of the two does the most damage to a single target?

Both are pretty good solo, although depends a lot on your gear and playstyle (and build). Both can be specced glasscannon, doing a lot of damage, but blowing up to WHs during KD. Both can also be specced tanky, with the cost of doing less damage ofc. DPS shaman is not really desired in groups, but you can always go heal and be useful. rSH also loses its usefulness the bigger the fight, but going melee makes you usefull in large scale fights.

Both are kiting classes in terms of gameplay, shaman obviously has more sustain as you can heal yourself.

I don't want zerg...my goal is a 6 or duo/solo. I'm looking for an alternative zu gameplay of the witch that I don't find fun.
