Return of Reckoning

Just returned after about 4 years away. I know I'm behind in gear, rr50+ with Full Dom set. However, 90% of my attacks on anyone are disrupted by all classes, making the game unplayable. I barely hit anyone for over 100 points of damage if I'm lucky and when 90% of my attacks aren't landing, whats the problem? My Int is 1022 at the moment, is that to low in the current state of the game in 2022? Thanks for the help.

sorc still has best burst on the server just needs proper setup and most likely a tank that knows when to punt

I'm using same setups and combos I did in retail live and when it turned into RoR. But when 90% of my attacks are being ignored and having no effect, something doesn't feel right.

If you're attacking healers then they often spec into higher dodge and disrupt to help survive Sorcs/BWs/etc in Open RVR sieges. If you're attacking random people in a blob during a keep siege then they could be getting up to 45% bonus dodge and disrupt from tanks using hold the line, which will affect all ranged and magic careers.

If you're having issues in scenarios or skirmishing then try looking into some gear with reduced chance to be disrupted on it. I think the sentinel ring talsimans have -6% on them, and I think other rings can get -2%.

Dominator is a defensive set. Instead of Dominator, you can take the Conqueror set, that provides some reduction chance to be disrupted.

And as Omegus said, depending of the target and the context, it can be hard to hit with a spell sometimes.

Its good, you JUST need a tank, a pocket heal, and a target who doesnt see your burst incoming, or doesnt bother using detaunt/cleanse/potions/def skills.

But yes, technically its highest burst class ingame.

The gear level of the people you're casting on is likely Sov and are high RR meaning they have highest defensive stats possible; you need to at least get into Vanquisher gear and you will see a (minor) improvement. Your thread highlights the ongoing issue of massive gear gap in this game for new players. Also target squishy classes and not tanks.
