I came here to complain / Lock timer / Pop imbalance

Hello,

Writing this, I risk being criticized by probably 90% of the playerbase, but I want to vent it, so I'll do it regardless.

We all know how the game goes. In the rare occasion when there's a balance in numbers, it doesn't last long. Mostly until the next battle or siege. Naturally, people like to win, so I understand why they like switching to the side, which already has 60% of the online pop. However, getting stomped, or zerging, or rushing to a city, isn't fun, for me. The whole idea of Warhammer is always based around endless stalemate between the factions. I believe it's up to the community itself to keep the balance in pop, and prevent the game turning into a zerg fest. Therefore, I often try to switch to the side with less population. I prefer playing a losing battle, rather than joining the zerg fiesta. However, I'm often prevented to do so by the lock timer. Just like the other day, we (on destro side) won a pairing, with superior numbers (it was a stomp), and I wanted to swap to the other faction, because zerging isn't my thing, but I couldn't because of the lock.

I find that I enjoy the game when the progress made, as in: sieges, keeps taken or defended, are less, but are actually meaningful somehow, meaning we had to use a little bit of strat or smarts to get it done, rather than just zerg or get stomped for hours, until city is reached (at which point the population magically goes back to 50/50, I've seen that happen a couple of times).

Obviously simply complaining isn't doing any good, so here's a few suggestions I can put forward:
-Disable lock timers for swapping over to the underdog side;
-Disable lock timers completely;
-Population locks - don't allow to log into a faction if the population is already at a certain point, for example 55%.

Honestly, I don't want to throw any blame, I just wanna complain a little bit, and maybe hear what the rest of you, that are interested in this topic, have to say about it.

p.s. Thanks for reading my novel, sorry for ban English
