i know most people use 3 warlord/5 sov, but what parts should i go for warlord?

İ never played dps shammy but you need to Max crit chance as possible like any other dps class i suppose.

I know for sure it’s helm and jewelry. Not sure what the third is, but you can just look at each piece. It’s the one with magic crit on it. Basically, take all of the pieces that have magic crit on them.

How do the numbers add up for you to call 6 warlord 1 opp the max dps output?

Like 30 magic power more than the actual BiS combination and significantly less of all other stats.
