Can't update and launch the game since last patch

Hi,
The game was working fine until a couple of days ago. Now when in the launcher, update shows in red, I click it, the progress bar progresses very quickly to 98% then the launcher shuts down and I have to restart it again, re-update (?!?), etc.
Any help would be welcome with this. Thanks

I had this a few weeks ago, used a free VPN and it started the upload. Then after I patched I disconnected from VPN and worked fine again on my own connection.

With the VPN active, I have the same scenario except the progress bar moves slower (pretty fast still) and goes up to 100%. If I remove the VPN, I go back to the initial scenario.
Gah, I need to feel the battelfield

if you have issues with your install, just hop on the RoR discord (link in my signature) and poke in #technical-advice...so we can check your install.

Seems like many people have problems with the installer. I don't get it why should we join discord for this?!
Why isn't a solution posted here instead?! the shortest distance between two points is a straight line between them, just saying.

The solution is the Installation guide -

Any additional support is much easier to provide through IM on Discord.

Thank you all for your replies. I since tried to reinstall the game, removed latest Windows update to no avail. Once I get home, I'll review my installation again to make sure it's done correctly and will jump on to Discord if I have further issues. In any case, I will post what will have been the solution for me in the hope it helps others.
Looking forward to seeing you all on the battlefield.

Had this problem as well.
In installation guide there is a link to RoRLauncher.exe
I downloaded it and game updated and started as normally.
