Dear Devs,

A while ago the developer team suggested the role of realm (class) champions to advise and integrate the community in questions of balancing. As I haven't found a single post naming these champions, I would like to be proactive.

I am nominating Lesti for the role as realm champion engineer.

Lesti is a 80+ Engi, a long serving and well integrated part of the community. Also he is Guildmaster of the 3rd Bitterstone Thunderers, the guild with the largest engineer community on the server. His Monday evening sniper squads (engi warbands) are well known. In addition, he runs his guild like a democracy. He cares about the opinions of each of his players and shares responsibilities with a dozen officers.

The combination of his well established network in the RoR community as well as his long game and class experience should make him the ideal class champion.

What do you think about this idea?

Lesti would be the best choice. I am playing as one of his officers for some years now and never regretted it.

I agree Lesti would be a great choice for Realm Champion-Engineer, he is a great guild leader and role player and his events and youtube video's of said events are great fun!

Isn't lesti the guildleader of this guild which constantly uses terrain exploits and force the developers to fix them, instead of focussing on bug fixes? I mean, I took them 3(?) years to fix the Engi!

Dear Lyncher, ofc everybody has a certain bias. The task of the realm champions is to communicate with other players of the class and other realm champions to address balancing questions and gather a consent enabling the dev team to make better and more informed decisions.

Yeah I seconde mekanik, probably the most skilled and knowledgeable engineer on the server.

As one of the highest ranked guild leads on glassdoor with 9.7/10 i would also recomend lesti.

Sure there might be rampant discrimination within his guild, drinking at work, the occasional magnet misfire, the use of terrain that triggers "players that want a safe rvr space, to happily cap objectives. SAFELY" . There are also unfounded claims of blunderbuss and sniper squads that trigger allegations of zerging cause y'know cant lose to roleplayers. In general there is a lot of pulling of triggers. Ours destros or the GMs.

But all in all lesti is a guild leader that plays engie and promotes a non toxic work environment for dwarfs.

He doesnt pay us enough gold tho.
