Return of Reckoning

Hello
I played about a year ago, no problems followed the guide. a year later after reinstalling following the same process.
I can no longer see a UI, I followed all tips removing character from User-Martyr square and others .
I've checked the settings and there appears to be an error and i can not change it. MainUIEnabled=False

On the character select screen I also can not change the settings there , i.e. screen width etc
I took screenshots , however can not seem to add them here tried at least 20 times.
Every old character and new character has the same issue. So there is literally no way to play.
Any speedy help to overcome this issue would be greatly appreciated.
