Hi all,

If I wanted to create a destro alt whose main purpose was to be the most-efficient killer of PvE mobs for magical salvaging or butchering purposes, which classes would you recommend?

Mara is obvious choice for selfheal and aoe capabilities. Also magus with 3rd tree wound buff staff is decent too.

Mara is the best AoE farming toon in the game. For scavenging, if you’re going for the high lvl frags, then you probably want a DoK. If you’re just gathering random frags/mats, then mara again. Magus can farm too, but it’s nothing like a mara. Lots more downtime between pulls with the magus.

What about order? Cant really figure that one out as i am mainly destro haha. Wp i am thinking but not too keen on lvling one of em up ha.

For variety

DPS WP
Engi with Keg + armour
2H SwordMaster

+self heal +armour +parry +aoe dmg are all things you want for solo harvest class.

Monstro Mara
Dps DOK

those are your two better choices, other classes can maybe do it but more clunky / effort.

like 2h chosen, bg, magus but not as effective as dok or mara imo... the more niche classes would need to be overgeared/renown before pretty effective, mara and dok can be trash gear and almost just as effective as overgeared niche.

For aoe farm i find sacrifice DoK better than pure dps dok => better aoe dps and much better sustain

Monstro mara for aoe farm / dps dok for champ armour frag

I just want to add that melee squig is pretty good as well. They have high armor and good defensive if specced properly and have a self heal, not to mention their aoe damage and easy mob leaping.

Clearly not a Zealot.
