Return of Reckoning

Hello, I just got my friend to play RoR and there is a problem, he can't update the game. After some downloading it crashes and there is a message that the access is denied to that folder. Is there any way i could try to fix it ? i tried turning off the fire wall and the anti virus but it did not work ? Any suggestions /

Remover write protect from all game files and subdirectories
