Verification email

Hi folks,
acc. to the steps described in "Join us" page I should receive email with a verification link ... however after several hours it still didnt arrive.
All Ive got the "Welcome" email (within 5 mins from registration):
Welcome to Return of Reckoning forums
Please keep this email for your records. Your account information is as
follows:

Username: GrimPapa
Board URL: https://www.returnofreckoning.com/forum
----------------------------
Your password has been securely stored
Is that step no longer valid and should I proceed with instalation without it? And yes, I have all the antivi-firewa-thingamajigs turned off.
