Return of Reckoning

As the title says, which classes are the hardest to learn and play well, but when played well, are rewarding.

I am not asking which class is “the best,” but simply which classes have a notoriously higher skill ceiling that most people don’t seem to maximize to their potential.

From my limited experience (only playing for ~1.5mo) my observation is that it’s the:

Ironbreaker
Engineer
Maybe a good aSW too?

I’m assuming the counterparts to be true too with:

Blackguard
Magus

Thoughts?

Archmage, healing one.

If it helps, chosen, if you want to play it to the best of its potential and not as just a buff bot, has higher skill ceiling than people realize. And that's from having both chosen and bg.

Wh/We

Healing AM and Shaman. Utility/aoe Magus and Engie, maybe not that high skill cealling but so few seems to play them any good at all

Not much, as far as mechanics go. Unless some misfortune rendered you unable to cast any ability in 1.5s intervals, skill is almost entirely reflected in decisionmaking - which is probably what OP is asking about.

The order in which you use your abilities, who you use them against, and when you use them is hard to manage in a chaotic fight

ASW only DPS that have to stance dance to use snare and reach its potential
