As we all know, some careers have magical melee skills, e.g. SM, WP, DOK.

And we all know STR affects the melee magical attack instead of INT.



Then, I have a question, is the "weapon skill" can penetrate the target's magical resist?

No, WS does not affect resists at all. So if you're using mostly magical melee attacks, WS is not very useful.

I think willpower was initially intended to bypass resists, but it was scrapped before release. As such, maximum mitigation for resists is much lower than armor, since there's no stat to bypass it.
