Return of Reckoning

Since the last patch, the "connect" button on the launcher shows "update" in red. Click on that and nothing happens and the launcher disappears. I cannot get into the game.
Any ideas/advice please?

Try test if windows defender is having issues with it by turning it off

Defender is turned off because Kaspesky is running.
Have "allowed" all aspects of ROR within Kaspersky, but still have the red update button on the launcher which dumps me to desktop when its pressed

I am having this same issue. I click "Update" and it downloads something then closes the launcher. I restart the launcher and all I can do is hit "update" again.

I have not changed any setting on my game or PC. First time I have tried to login in several days (4+)

I too am having this problem, and I also run Kaspersky, so I think it might be an issue with that. I am messing around with settings at the moment to see if there's a resolution


Update: It appears it is Kaspersky causing the issue. After pausing connection to Kaspersky, I could download the update with no issues. After turning protection back on after update, I can run the game normally. hope this helps.
