Offered as service to new players out there.
You had probably run into shield doks out there, which seems in small scale like they have all the goodies- block, self heals, channel to ignore roots/snares, while also decent dmg and potentially heal debuff. Lets me insure you that it isn't really so- shield doks are very easy to kill, when you understand how they work.
The weakness which shield doks got, is that dok can only have one of two options:
* Good regular heals- which however require Soul Essence regen source which shield dok doesn't really has unless he can get into melee range, and which require not having tactics debuffing % healing such as Divine Fury equipped- while from other hand those tactics are required to have actually good lifetap heals.
* Good lifetap heals- which require dok being able to get into melee range of a class that he can actually do dmg to (=not snb kotb for example), and which also require equipping tactics such as Divine Fury which nerf dok's regular heals, and likely fully offensive armor set which once again means dok doesn't has will/heal crit to have efficient regular heals.
In both options however dok being able to get into melee range of nontank target is a baseline requirement- which is what makes them very easy to disable.
All you need is 1 tank, preferably kotb, and 1 ranged kiter. 16 kotb and 16 bw or am is likely to be enough to disable rr80 shield dok.
Tank needs to stay in melee range of dok, and chain snare. Dok doesn't has any gap closer, aside from Flee + ap pot. He does got Soul Ward channel for 10 sec root/snare immunity- so tank needs to have Taunt ready to interrupt, and might have m2 Focused Mind equipped for another 10 sec root/snare immunity- so the tank should have punt ready. Dok also has Fist of Khaine ability with 65 f range, which also can proc CoC snare- so the kiter should keep range to make sure dok can't use it.
While tank is chain snaring, kiter should keep range and blast with instacast/short cast abilities. Kotb tank works especially well here since his resists aura also debuffs dok's resists, making the dok take more dmg from bw/am.
In this situation dok can't really do much- even if he is more regular heals specced with just some block for flavor, he might last somewhat longer but he still doesn't has chalice Soul Essence regen. If however he is lifetap heals specced- like he likely is- then he got practically no heals- Transfer Essence won't do much dmg to kotb between block/armor so not much healing, and Rend Soul won't do much dmg to kotb between resists aura/block- meaning again not much healing.
So to sum it- make sure to put kotb+kiter pair on shield dok every time you see one, and you will easily make sure he spends most of sc waiting for respawn.
Have fun out there!
