Error

Hello new to the server, I've now downloaded the client twice via Torrents on the forum and strictly followed the install thread however I am still stuck, I have spent hours on the forum trying to find a solloution, I get onto the Manifest section on the launcher and usually around 78% it gets stuck and I get this error:
Disconnected from server. Error: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond
at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.EndReceive(IAsyncResult asyncResult)
at RoRLauncher.Client.Xb33qW8eJjbsG8YgnB1(Object , Object )
at RoRLauncher.Client.YFLZyjs0vm(Object )

I have a high spec gaming pc and very fast internet, I can most games on highest graphics and still have no problems yet I keep getting disconnected becaue of my internet? It has managed to get past manifest and onto downloading the files a few times but does the same thing once nearing completion, i've made sure i've unticked the read me etc, any advice is appreciated, thank you.

How many files is the game asking you to download?

I just managed to get past the Art1 checks think it said around 54k or something but as soon as I went to connect I got the error message again, thank you for your reply.

Quick troubleshooting tips:

- Make sure your torrent is no longer seeding.
- Move the directory out of the Downloads folder and into your main drive.
- Run as Administrator.
- Clear the cache.
- Make sure the RoRLauncher is in the same folder as all your other files.
- Right click the full directory and untick 'Read Only'.

If you've tried the above, and still no use, try using a VPN to see if that helps.

Do I delete everything in the cache folder?

Yes - delete the folder.

I have done this to no effect, I have tried turning off my firewall, I have run the launcher as admin, unticked etc still nothing, cant get past manifest and it starting to download without getting disconnected, I am from England and have very good internet, I use AVG if that has any affect? thank you again

Try to disable your AVG and run.

Tried this a few times now, tried to give the launcher permission etc yet still having the same problem
