[shaman] heal spec gearing advice

hi everyone!
recently stumbled upon this great game and i tried a few classes. heal shaman is my favourite.
im nearing lvl30 now and i want to be prepared as best as possible for the lvl40 sc/rvr, bc i heard its gonna be rough for a non geared player.
i googled a lot, but didnt find a good info on the ideal gearing progression for a heal shaman, so heres my questions:
1.) what should i do in preparation for the lvl40 jump?
2.) whats my ideal gear progression from rr40 to rr80?
3.) how will i get the ideal gear mentioned in question2 (is it via sc, what kind of rvr)?
4.) i heard some people mention the need for doing forts to get invader before sovereign and would like to start this early as well, when is that possible?
just one thing: i prefer small scale pvp over big scale pvp, so i would prefer the small scale pvp to get gear even if it takes longer.
thanks in advance for your help if its just linking a forum thread that covers my questions (sorry if i missed that post and asked again).
