Let us be honest. Does it matter?
In a few weeks, a month or so, t2 will become active. Within a week all the gear being used now will be obsolete and useless. Why waste time doing a wipe?
Gold; so what is someone has 20k gold? It is not real money.

FIX the dupping, YES! But a wipe? Not worth the effort.

Well i am wondering as well why they take so long for it, but i'd say either make a full gold+gear wipe (except stuff currently worn) or maybe even a complete DB-wide charwipe.

What i also was wondering about: Do or actually can those Playernames with Accents and Umlauts äöüáò etc. interfere in the Database or other aspects of the game somehow? Since i read somewhere else, that they all got blocked from the new char creation, i assume that they hold at least some sort of problem?

What you meant to ask was whether or not it was worth doing an item wipe, and the answer to that would still be yes from me, because:

a) higher level gear has been accessible (lv15-17 for Order and lv19 for Destro) and could have been duped in preparation for the future

b) the exploit relied on duping items to vend, and stockpiles of these could still exist

c) players have already put their money into horses to sell post-wipe

I reckon if you do a item wipe you also wipe AH? As many people just would stack items in AH...

i compleatly agree azareal and im gland that the devs are aware of the underhanded trickery that some scummy players are trying to pull to doge the wipe i just humbly requst that if you do have a ful gear wipe then please give players an easy way to get back gear because some classes have it rough and then to re accquire everything...

I agree to the fullest with Azarael. I wonder how the item wipe will be executed. Will all characters for example lose ALL items/All the gold (maybe 5 gold left?)/ Receive a set of vengeance gear in their backpack?

I have heard nothing about this issue for a while now, so I honestly have no idea

That's interesting; so a serious decsion like gold n gear wiping is made/dissucssed by only some of the dev team? So do diffrent devs have control and make decsions for diffrent aspects of the game?
