New player looking for some career advice

Hello everyone !

I have been doing some research and can not quite decide myself on what career/class to choose.

I am looking for a melee class with a focus on:
- good damage potential
- good tankiness / survivability
- decent crowd crontrol

I am not looking for:
- utility
- mobility
- range abilities / attacks

(yes very warrior / fighter archetype)

I am fully aware that tank classes can be played as dps and I am ready to play one; but some seem to be not very efficient at that (Knight per se) and I want to kill people from time to time, not only be a meatshield.

Does anyone have any insight on what could be a good match for me? :D

Thanks

As long as you don't neglect your tankly duties and stats, 2h Ironbreaker or Swordmaster will do what you're looking for.

Just don't expect to solo any good healer (which not many can do anyways).

Ironbreaker is probably the closest you can get to WoW's warrior archetype.

If you wanna try the destru side, look for 2H black ork and marauder.

Marauder probably fulfils most of your needs.

Level 10 will give you a good understanding of the basics of the characters, but be advised that T1 is dramatically different from T4.

For i.e., in T1, Shamans and AMs are pretty disgusting, but in T4 hybrid doesn't exist, and DPS is inconsequential in the grand scheme. So pick based on how the class feels, rather then how it performs jn T1.
