Return of Reckoning

So, I just installed and managed to get the game to run for one session, starting as admin from my RoR folder. But now every time I attempt to launch the game the launcher immediately disappears and I can't get it to stay. I tried the fix of changing the files from read only off, but for that's not seeming to work either, I had a lot of fun with the game while I could actually play it and want to continue, if anyone has some advice it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
