game updates again every time I launch

I followed instructions exactly. Got into the game. Next time I launched it's updating for 15 minutes again. what's the issue?

The torrent is over a year old. The launcher is trying to apply patches, it needs to do this a couple times. Just restart the launcher when it's down, let it download, repeat until it stops. Otherwise you'll get a couple weird bugs.

Mine is trying to download 171,000 files, and then sending them to my desktop

If you put the launcher on the desktop it will try to download everything to the desktop. The launcher needs to be in the same folder as war.exe
