cant complete instal (realy need help)

i need some help so i am installing age of reckoning but when i am supostho go into properties and unchek nothing happens???
Assuming you mean uncheck the "read only" setting on the map I had the same issue, it turned out I had forgot to turn of the torrent and thus the file were still active because I was seeding and therefore couldn't be changed.
Perhaps you have the same problem ?
