Need help with choosing faction and class

Hi there people,
I am returning to reckoning after a long long break and I am really unsure what to play.
I pref SC play and I noticed Destro gets faster sc pops, is this always the case?
Also what faction needs what role the most?
I alrdy have alot of chars pritty decent lvl and I like all the roles.
