Return of Reckoning

New player here, obviously. I've always been interested in Warhammer online, I remember playing the trial when I was still dazed and confused.

There are many things I understand, many that I don't. I understand quests have been disabled, and know about the gold business. I also know how to level up without the quests. But when might we see the quests return? For my first MMO Run-through I like to try to get a bit immersed in the environment, reading the quests and exploring the zones and so on.

So two questions about characters. How much time would it take to get to 12 with the current setup? Just grinding out scenarios and killing things.

Second thing, what class to go? ;o. I've been considering having a Zealot, or a DoK. I have a bit of a preference toward melee. Tanking would be great, as well. I've been trying to use the fplteam.com/ror site, it's still tough to get a firm grip on what people want. I understand tanking is valued, at least order-side, not sure what's wanted on Destruction. And also, are tanks even useful in PVP?

So with that confusion, as well as hearing that melee abilities are unreliable, I'm not 100% sure on what to do!

Regarding class i think atm zealot is better than dok for healing
Dok is better than zealot for dps
Chosen - pure tank
Black orc - tank with a good dps
Black guard - dunno much but i think it is like chosen
Melee are all good
Choppa - fully fixed
Witch elf - work good
Marauder - dunno but i think it work great

Yes tanks are useful in pvp atm.
In my opinion if u want heal now go zealot or shaman, if dps is your choice go what u like, if u want to tank defensively only is chosen if u want to dps take BO.

In regards to "what is that fplteam", it's this: http://fplteam.co.uk/RoR/popcharts.php

It lists down what players are online, based on the "Who's online" tab, and then groups them up in the role of healer, tank, dps. That way at a glance you can see how many people online are of what role.

Anyhoo, thanks for the tips! I might try to have a bit of everything.
