Thanquol's Incursion

I was talking with an old friend from live (Kinq aka Mez) and he mentioned a Scenario/Event that I had completely forgotten about. I remember there being portals and instances...and some PVE / PVP....but that's about it. Hell, I don't even remember being in the guild I was in.
Does anybody remember the mechanics for TI? Could this be part of a future event?

Shoutout to Avocetti (Zerg Leader) and Karisanna (The Teach) --I don't even remember playing against you on live.
P.S. RIP glass-cannon Rift spec 24x7. I would do that here too but the change in the mastery tree gimps the ability to run the same spec here (rift + ifoc).

i recall it being a faceoff between order/des, arranged in similar manner to a scen, and once one side inevitably quit the victor got to kill 3 skaven bosses, for which they earned parts of the doomflayer set and the ability to unlock the four playable skaven in the rvr zones

was like a SC with a small area where a boss was also fought, the realm that did 51% or more damage on the boss HP "won" the fight.
It was only possible to enter this encounter when skaven locked all BOs and a portal to this bosscave opened, at which BOs remained skaven locked until incursion was dealt with.

What they said above me is mostly accurate, but it would be cool to have the skaven back in the game for sure. Rat Ogre, Gutter runner & Rat Engineer were super fun to play. Throwing people as a rat ogre is always fun Lol

Just theoretically: is it possible to use Skaven models to create a new race with new classes?

theoretically maybe, but it would probably be riddled with issues ranging from gear not appearing on the model, mount issues and much more.
And thats not even going into the issues with adding more careers (not something we are interested in doing atm)

It's starting to come back to me. The DPS race between two sides while fighting a PVE boss seems like it could be a fun mechanic to play with.
