An honest question. I feel like I am constantly being crushed by magus while doing nothing to them. Am I doing something wrong?

Honestly, as a magus I feel the same, that is; I can do little against an engi.

I think it greatly depends on your spec and gear and how prepared you are. Anyone going up against a well geared and prepared magus or engi is in for a fight. I'm absolutely rubbish and still manage 50/50 against WHs that pop on me if my pet is up.

I'd ask some of the more notable engi's for advice in game. I regularly get melted by Thorbolt and I find Fixer unkillable.

You''re doing something wrong. I have a rr 81 Magus and a rr 80 engi. Engi are quite viable against magi.

Engi/magus needs a big nerf asap.
High range
High damage
High CC ( even worse since they removed from the game resolute defense real ability )

If devs want to balance game towards mellee ( specially order side whit the most index of complains ) , yes .
