Getting into community discord

So I’ve tried a couple times to get into the community discord and messaged a few people as stated in the official discord info section. But I keep being auto-kicked after a few minutes.
Is the official discord for devs/Long standing players only?

No, it's public. Just hang around for about 10 minutes and you should be able to talk in chat. Then you would be able to message someone to get verified.
