looking for AM hybrid build

Hey guys, I'm completely new to this game although I'm pretty good at MMOs in general (this games controlls and stuff seem pretty similar to WoW).

I'm looking to kit out my AM character as a hybrid support/dps/healer.

any build advice?

People say you cant go hybrid, so it is either dps or healing, sadly. Closest you could come i think is a dps with lifetap spells for healing? There is no Grace build for AM or shammie

I'm totally new to the game so maybe this isn't correct thinking. Once i got to know AM a little bit (im currently level 13) I see them as a clear hybrid class. Casting healing spells buffs your damage spells and casting damage spells buffs your healing spells.

I basically want to be a dps that can throw good off-heals in pvp. But i don't want to take the things like "25 % more damage but 25% less healing"

Without dmg tactics, you can't be considered "dps". You won't have enough dmg to pressure someone and lack the healing power to counter inc dmg on teammates.

Yeah I'm looking for a build that instead of doing "100 dps and 40 hps" as a dmg build or "100hps and 40 dps" as a healer build doing like "70 dps and 70 hps" as a hibrid build. feel me?

Generally speaking in any kind of group setting "hybrids" suck. A group of specialists that each excel at their roles will win almost every time all other things being equal.

That said, this is the build I run as a "dps hybrid": https://officialrorbuilder.herokuapp.co ... ,3434,3470

If you pre-hot plus use the mechanic to crank off your AOE heals you can do about 50/50 on damage/heals in SCs in the 50-70k range depending on how the SC goes. I actively avoid the lifetaps, but ymmv.

From the Shaman perspective (AM mirror class), as a healer you should have your puddle (Sticky Feet for shaman, Mistress of the Marsh in Isha path for AM), and both Rain Lord and Law of Ages (Path of Vaul) to toss out as small aoe debuffs. The corresponding trees for shaman are the main healing ones and I assume Isha and Vaul are for AM. This lets you spec healing with providing support for your team. Lastly, the AM/shaman AP drain (yours is Drain Magic) is killer for many classes.

You probably looking for build like this:
RoR.builders - Archmage

I've been playing and testing a lot on my AM and aswell was trying to make Hybrid work but yeah, its very much meh. While BE and EoV can provide good amount of heal it's still not close to normal healing. Also ArcanePower is pretty weak cuz it doesnt proc from DoT's so only worth if using with AoE but then again its only 25% of dmg you deal so you pretty much want to go full DPS as possible.

So atm im testing build like this:
RoR.builders - Archmage
With Bloodlord set you can really deliver sick dmg, and using M4 Phoenix in forts is just pure pew pew fun.

So, yeah, so far only 2 builds are viable, either pure Healer or pure DPS. Hybrid is extremely handicapped, works good in PvE but in PvP i would not recommend it. On my 68 AM my peek stats i could have achieved was 700+ Int, Willpower and Wounds and 19% both Heal and Mag crit, but still pretty high chance to be critted and low armor so if you get caught you pretty much dead.

I think it's possible but you'd have to play around the dots and only have Divine Fury as your main damage passive. Basically it's possible to have your target die to dots while you sustain with your heals.

This way you're able to charge passive and both sides of the passive will be favorable (Since you don't need much willpower, it is possible to be sustainable with int renown + magic crit renown depending on how you charge passive).

You lose the faster Searing Touch (In place of Magical Infusion tactic or heal crit) but you'll heal decent enough.

It is recommended to mix sets here and use whatever combinations you see fit (I'd prefer to mix 3 Oppresor 3 Dominator int and wounds, but each to his own, I think even full Oppressor would't be bad either. But there is a lot of combinations out there.).

Perhaps the ultimate resource for hybrid builds in RoR. Here's a clip: https://youtu.be/Y3lQSxNdr3c?t=23
