GM's conduct

Dear staff and players,
It is time to have a frank discussion about how we want our GMs to conduct themselves.
You may know me as Katalmach, your friendly neighbourhood belching Ironbreaker. I like to do a little /burp emote on the bodies of my fallen enemies in the spirit of friendly rivalry. Every now and then, a Destruction player forgets himself and makes an Order character just to rage at me; a lot of fuss for an innocent emote. I will just tell them that emotes are not against the rules and that they ought to grow up.
What am I to do when it is a GM who throws a tantrum? GM did not like my innocent emote one bit. But rather than taking it in stride, he decided to exile my account for 5 minutes. He did not cite the rule I broke with my emoting (Could this be because there isn't any rule against using emotes?). I got sanctioned for the grave crime of using an emote.
Moderated due to breaking forum rules of name shaming.
