Return of Reckoning

Recently I've deleted a character to create a new one with the same name, but when I try to reuse the name that I've used with the previous deleted character; the game tells me that I entered a duplicate or invalid name. Is there a way to be able to reuse the name of a deleted character? how long does it take to wait for the name to be reused?
