Who are the best to damage an archmage or shaman ?

If I correctly understood archmage is better against range dps classes, but it is more vulnerable against melee dps. Because he is standing caster. Shaman is complete opposite.

P.S. do not need to write that archamage is the best because he does not need to fight against the white lion))

DPS shaman has the burst advantage, while DPS AM has the better sustained/DoT damage.

From DPS point of view both classes lack behind sorc/bw/magus.
If I have to chose between AM and Shaman I woudl vote for shamman. Better survivability, better looking, more hard to target because he is little piece of green junk
Shaman hands down. Damn I want to try my old shaman now when I am writing about it. Last of my destro char I havent deleted yet....

What do you want to do? Sc, 1vX, 6v6, 6vX or XvX?

1v1 in this game there is nothing to do except when someone caught you.
6v6 shaman and archmage are basically healers, as the dps they almost do not take.
I am interested in SC's and RvR/ORvR.

I think that shaman is better like a healer.

Shamans look roughly 524% better too .

Not true: DPS AM and Shaman can fill in as DPS for 6v6; they might not be as potent as they were before (can't pick up all the goodies anymore, and less healing when using certain tactics), but the damage they can dish out is still very, very potent.

This is a myth, the burst from both classes comes from dot/debuff setup followed by nuke and their respective channeled spells (using the 50% tick/duration reduction tactic). AM have an extra DoT though so higher sustain, but burst is equal.
