if you follow that guide it will work. i just got mine working by following it. it seemed like the launcher was already in the file, but you just need to download the other launcher, put it in the file and then run as admit. dont hit to update or anything, itll naturally start downloading the 4,200 files on its own (not the 171,000).

My launcher also re-downloads the manifest and re-verifies all files every time I launch it.
Is this supposed to happen?

I've followed the Tech Support Sticky. When I place a copy of new launcher files in the directory there is an UPDATE button instead of a CONNECT button. The update opens an updater window, updates the launcher, the launcher then goes through a long verifying process again after downloading manifests. Finally the Error is displayed after a delay [connect button remains greyed out].
