What recommended easiest Range DPS class to start out to get hang of the game (looking at SH and SW)

Those two have melee specs which obviously make you less of an rdps. Sorceress/Bright Wizard is your typical mage/caster who stands back and unloads from range. Same goes for engineer/magus so I would start there. Shadow Warrior is hard to play well because its long-range rdps spec is useless because it has no mobility and low dmg.

Was looking into Sorcerer though

SW and SH are both decent choices. They dont suffer the drawbacks of the other rdps. Magus/Engi are tethered to their turrets and BW/Sorc suffer if not supported with heals more than the others.

You should just pick something and start playing it. If you dont like it try something else. Or roll them all and see which one you like more.

My personal opinion. I dont like SW, but I do like SH for some reason. The turrets make me not really enjoy Magus/Engineer, but both can be really good. Both Sorc and BW are strong, but l like Sorc so much I cant really get into BW. Every time Into roll one I just end up playing my sorc.

What about melee spec (DPS wise) which is more easy to do things solo ?

trying to do anything solo is a quick way to die.

Even Welfs hunt in pairs.
