Ok so i've been away for few months and wanted to ask about few things.

1. Toughness changes - i heard it has been nerfed? So what is the number i should aim for now? What is pointless to surpass?

2. With toughness changes what should i aim for with deftard tank on talismans? Armor? Wounds?
Atm i have 10,5k hp, 880 toughness, 3600 armor [unbuffed] and wonderin what talis i should slot.

3. Not askin about rr/avoidance/build/etc i got this sorted.

Thanks to everyone in advance :)

I keep hearing the mitigation was blocked at some % and increasing toughness beyond some point is pointless... Dunno numbers though,

It was not nerfed it has been put a dmg reduction cap which will only play a role if you go deep into overcap values (max tough total reduction is 75% of total dmg.
It has been done to prevent strange stacking on bg mostly for what i got.

Aka 1050 tough reduces 210 dmg but any dps skill do 400 +

So even with overcap you are just at 50%

There is no change till the normal cap or even just over it for a bit, you can spec as always.

Toughness works the same as before, only in some rare edge cases nobody can think off, where toughness happened to reduce damage by over 75%, it was capped at 75%.

How shall this work, as toughness is not a % based reduction?
Though was always the direct counter stat to Str/Int/bal, does that mean it only reduces a maximum of 75% of that stat or what? :?:

Simply It traspose the mitigated value in % with respect of the unmitigated value. If this % is greater than 75% then the mitigated value will be sobstituted with the 75% of the unmitigated value. It's been introduced to avoid to have dot which do 1 damage.

more damage in means more toughness is needed to mitigate the same % of damage.

There was an issue primarily with BG, IB and Knights where they could make themselves more or less immune to most if not all damage by just stacking toughness. This is why it was capped at 75% (just like other resists). That "nerf" (not really a nerf tbf as it was more a systemic fix imho) mostly affects low damaging things like dots, pets and tanks.

Toughness mitigation is linear but with high enough toughness you could mitigate like 100% incoming damage on low damage abilities. This was capped at 75%. For the most part this virtually never happens.

Hmmm so at 3,8k armor, 10,5k hp, 880 toughness [with talis but no pots] what would you suggest to go for? switch some talis for wounds/armor? Or...?
