Return of Reckoning

With my Dwarf Engineer character, when I try to use the gun blast ability, after targeting and the 2 seconds pass, it will delay firing from between 2 - 8 seconds (not sure why). However, none of the other abilities seem to have any problems, and the game runs somewhat smoothly (besides getting a melee attack from 50 ft away >_>) .
Is there something wrong with the connection, the game, or is it just me?
