Return of Reckoning

I just came back after two years. I used my old files/folder. I downloaded the patcher and placed it into the game folder. I patched for about 5 days and I was able to log in. Mostly everything works. I have three issues.

1. The game crashes as soon as I enter a scenario. (I've only tried on my RP so far)
2. my UI skill bars reset to default when I log in. (Layout editor, addons remain as I've set them)
3. The sound effect and music work well except that I get loud, screechy feedback type sounds through the speaker once I go into a zone. I didn't experience this in Altdorf.

I just find this game server and was worried about having to manipulate the folders and such but all I did was install the client and everything seems to work fine. Did I miss something?

@Porkstar How did you fix this?
I'm having the same issues. Every time I walk into Nordenwatch, I get kicked to desktop, it doesn't save UI settings, etc.
