Absorb proc in sets

Can we talk about it? At current state it's completely useless.

Small chance to get 180(!) absorb in domi set (for tanks).
And 3% to get 420 on sent for shammy (and probably some other classes).

Maybe i missed here some other bonuses, but i am want to ask devs about their vision of it.
My is pretty simple - there must be like 10x-20x absorb value with same percent of proc or low value with huge % to proc.

Maybe better to change this bonus for something useful if you don't want to change absorb at all?

The proc chance is pretty low, but how high should it be? It's just a set bonus. Make it too good and you get have and have nots.

The absorb value seems similar to the RP/Zealot tactic. Of course that proc chance is much better, but should a set bonus be as good as a tactic? Or even close to as good as a tactic?

I don't know exactly where that proc % should be, but it seems really easy to make that bonus TOO good.

its not only low chance, but on a healer class aswell, which doesnt just stand soaking hits

hm - strange - sounds like the auto detaunt and run away shamy asks for more absorb - and maybe for odjira? To be fair - you ask for a vision and you gave your own with a simple "20x higher value" which would leed into a 8400 absorb on a shammy... well. Maybe the plain 20x isn´t that good.

On the other hand there is an AM (probably the squishiest healer on order) that doesn’t have all the listed things.

I don’t think that increasing proc chance from 3% to 5% (or even 8%) would hurt anyone - it will be a positive change after all.

I need to check if the tooltip is correct or not , I don’t recall it to have only 3% in the db

10x-20x is mentioned for domi set ofc, for shammy values must be lower. Like 2k-3k in result, because 180 or 420 in T4 isn't serious. It's one AA from defensive tank or even less.

i understand why you don't want to rush and give descent bonuses at all, if it's give too much - players will abuse it. But if keep low chances to proc like 5%-10% it will proc only at good focus. As i remember mitigation formula applies after absorb, for 5% it's 1 proc per 20 hits, which mean it's useful, but lasts in 1-2 second under such focus.

as i remember there was odjira, kamenra, and absorb tali. But still no unkillable shammies at all. Autodetaunt have chance to proc and provide only 25%, also its waste of tactic slot for healing. Also if i am not wrong, on vanilla servers quick escape doesn't interrupts on ability use and every class had access to it. Run away tactic isn't something special in this case. Odjira + QE was enough.
