I was wondering did something change yesterday that deleted the launcher?

It required me to run the update.exe which created another launcher but it runs in admin mode which I cannot change.

probably related to av/windows defender. check in their quarantine if you can restore the files. If not, download them again and make your install directory be exclude from virus scanning.

No it's not defender, it doesn't show any threats found or removed. My launcher deleted itself as well.

Now I have to do the whole game download everytime I log in.

last patch make the defender detect the launch have virus

me too.
I ran every exe files at RoR folder.
and it downloaded RoRLauncher.exe
was it WAR.exe or warpatch.exe
I'm not sure.
anyway it worked for me.

Same as the others, launcher gone after a trojan was found and automaticly deleted

Here's what I got from windows defender.
Kaspersky detects: UDS:Trojan.MSIL.Hesv

Same exact issue here as well.

It happened to me too Yesterday.
The RoRLauncher.exe was deleted including the shortcut on my desktop.

I used RoR update and it did some stuff (was fast so no full dl) inculding downloading a new RoRLauncher.exe that has now the admin icon, at least as a shortcut.

Kaspersky should have removed the false positive in one of todays database updates.
