Downloading update for launcher.

0 to 186628... Currently at 6208... And it's already been a couple hours. At this rate the download will probably take days... Is there anyway I can speed this up? Advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you downloaded the torrent, the Launcher should be in that WAR folder.
Otherwise it will try to download everything again.
If you didn't download the torrent, start with that. It will save you several hours.
