oRvr Duo Roaming advice

Hey there community peoples, let me ask a question in the form of a story.
Me and my buddy play this game as kind of like a duo game, where we run around and do our best to fight the impossible odds, which is usually destro vs order during late NA hours. With my Blackguard and his Squigherder usually we can do well against anything that is remotely balanced. Balanced here meaning 2 on 2's 2 on 3's, etc.
But this isn't always the case...
Our typical strategy is to hurl ourselves at a BO with 6+ players stacked on top of it, desperately trying to scavenge a kill out of our inevitable deaths. Survival is limited to seconds, but as long as we get some RP out of it, then we walk away happy. In my case, the sole objective is to leave the zone with a subj. weapon.
My primary question is what combination of 2 classes would result in the best ORvR roaming fun. Clearly, Tank and Healer comes to mind, because of the sheer survivability. Maybe DoK and Tank would work. Any advice on what combos do well in these situations would be welcome. We're not expecting 2v6 victories, but maybe a kill or two in some unlikely situations would be nice. Right now, we expect near-instant death and maybe a kill every 20 minutes when we go against these scenarios (which makes some sense, I suppose)
The only desire we have is for a kill in our kamikaze missions, maybe 2 if we put on our tryhard pants. Getting a bigger group isn't much of an option, since we have no friends or the means to acquire them, so we just (attempt) to enjoy playing our duo as much as we can. We don't have to win to have fun, we just have to survive longer than it takes to not be in doubt of our worth as human beings. Any feedback is welcome.
