[BW] is DoT BW still a thing?

I played in the early days of WAR, and I'm new to RoR. I remember a DOT focused BW being my favorite build. I'm looking at the abilities and it looks like a lot changed. Is it still viable?

You mean the usual rotation? Yes, its still the same and viable.
If you mean middle skill tree with knockdown and higher resist-debuff, I think it lost some burst after change to flashfire months (years?) ago. With the recent changes to Dots (not defendable after applied), might be a bit better again. try it!

how i got 1800 crits to my defensive BOrc from boiling blood then ?

Well Sorcs are Darkelfs. They live for thousands of years and can focus on their magic skills.
BW is Human. First 20 years of life is childish, next 20 often drunk and horny, next 20 he has severe back pain and the last 20 years he is senile. What do you expect? Its a roleplay game after all, get used to it.

There is a tactic in the middle tree of both the Sorc and BW that bumps the damage of BB/WoP.

Howling Gorge SC ( not doble dmg ) , 54RR BW landed me this BB.
Something you're doing wrong if you cant land a BB of 700 max.

To fully understand combat log you need rr255.
